New Formats
Expanding on Season 3, Akora TCG is now introducing 2 brand new formats for players to enjoy. Tournament Organizers can now choose between “Legacy” & “Legacy – Flash” (Constructed) along with “Bound” & “Bound – Flash” (Sealed).
- Legacy (Constructed): Best of 3
- Legacy – Flash (Constructed): Best of 1
“Legacy” is a constructed format where players build a tournament-legal deck to play in the event.
- Bound (Sealed): Best of 3
- Bound – Flash (Sealed): Best of 1
“Bound” is a sealed format where players are given a pre-constructed deck, which is the only deck they can use for the duration of the event.
Deck Builder
We are thrilled to announce the release of our new Deck Builder BETA that will now allow players to build, catalog, and share their decks with the community! This will also support the ability for players to directly import their decks to Tabletop Simulator (TTS) as well as automate the deck check-in process for Akora Play events! Simply navigate to the Akora Official TTS workshop to unlock this ability. Build your most powerful decks and showcase your skills!
Weekly Tournament Limit
This season, each LGS/Tournament Organizer will be limited to hosting 3 official competitive events per week, although they may run as many additional unranked events as they would like!
Weekly limits will reset each Monday.
Modifications to Alchemist Essence
With the introduction of a weekly competitive event cap, we have tailored the Alchemist Essence point distribution to improve the balance of rankings. Please see the below breakdown for how players can earn Alchemist Essence in Season 4!
- Match Played: 5 Alchemist Essence
- Match Won: 10 Alchemist Essence
- 3rd Place in Event*: 25 Alchemist Essence
- 2nd Place in Event*: 50 Alchemist Essence
- 1st Place in Event*: 100 Alchemist Essence
*In order for an event to receive placement points it must have 5 or more participants and 3 or more total rounds.*
